Craig Gemmell, President, Brewster Academy and BA International

Dr. Craig N. Gemmell is President of Brewster and BA International. He began this role on July 1, 2021 after serving as Brewster's Head of School since 2015. As Head of School at Brewster, Gemmell brought focus to Brewster’s mission and vision and seized the opportunity to spotlight the transformative work the school does with students. During his tenure, Brewster launched its most significant campaign, raising record-setting levels of philanthropic support.

As President of Brewster and BA International, LLC, Gemmell is responsible for implementing the Academy’s bold plans to augment its business model. He manages alignment between Brewster Academy and its emerging global network, ensuring fidelity of mission and values, and he acts as an advisor to Brewster's 13th Head of School, Kristy Kerin. Dr. Gemmell is the executive leader of the Academy's expanding network of schools globally—and is also serving as the Founding Head of School of Brewster Madrid, which opened on September 7, 2023.

Kristy Kerin, Head of School, Brewster Academy

On July 1, 2021 Kristy Kerin became Brewster Academy’s 13th Head of School. She is the first woman in the school’s two-century history to hold this position. Kerin joined Brewster in May 2011 as Director of Advancement. In July 2017, she was named an Assistant Head of School, taking on oversight of institutional strategy for the Academy, helping to lead a vanguard approach designed to push leadership deeper into the organization and engage a wide variety of stakeholders in generating new ideas to serve students and extend the influence of the Brewster Model, the school’s unique approach to education. She helped to design and lead two capital campaigns, including “Our Watershed Moment: The Campaign for Brewster,” the Academy’s largest and most successful campaign to-date. Appointed Associate Head of School in 2019, she helped implement an integrated approach to outreach that maximizes the reach of Brewster’s Admissions, Advancement, and Communications efforts. She also served in an executive leadership capacity in the capital-raising phase of the global campus project before her appointment as Head of School.
